This was the first film we have watched in class that has kept my attention throughout. While it still had the 70's style of story telling to it (realistic characters/situations, open ending, social commentary about the war, etc) it was the first to feel like a well structured story to me. The characters were interesting and complex and the story unfolded well with little dead spots.
The music used in the film was great (all were artists who were in some way opposed to the Vietnam War) and flowed well with the great visuals of the film.

I agree with the music and it definitely was more engaging than the others. Even though I still like the detective story - for the mere purpose that it was a modernization of the golden age of detective stories.
